I appreciate the reader's sentiment and concern. I also share that sentiment and concern, and am far from optimistic about the US Administration. How could anyone be optimistic about an Administration that declares, as one of its first foreign policy acts, the delisting of the Houthi Iranian proxies as a terrorist organisation? Just as a reminder, it was the Obama Administration that threatened to shoot down any Israeli jet that moved against Iran.
Just to clarify my "optimism," I am simply expressing the hope that 1. the Israeli government might become less suicidal and recognise the enemy their society flirts with; and 2. that the new government will not be a pushover. In other words, put the "never" back into "never again."
